Shorinji Ryu Seikukan Karate-Jutsu is a complete fighting system of Okinawan Karate, fused with Japanese JuJutsu.
We strive to bring you our interpretation of original Karate - realistic approaches to a very effective self-defense system. Our Karate is practical, pragmatic, simple and effective. Our style includes many JuJutsu applications such as: joint manipulation, throws, take-downs, and ground-fighting. This makes our Karate a complete, comprehensive Martial Art.
We are solely devoted to training Self Defense. Our program offers both children classes and Adult classes. Our adult program is taught using a modern, tactical approach to self defense by our Head Instructor - a Police Officer and Police Combatives Instructor.

LITTLE SAMURAIS, JUNIORS AND ADULTS KARATE
"I come to you with only Karate, empty hands. I have no weapons, but should I be forced to defend myself, my principles or my honor; should it be a matter of life or death, of right or wrong, then here are my weapons, Karate, my empty hands"
Little Samurais: Ages 3-6. This class uses a method of teaching Karate through games. Our Little Samurai class is dedicated to teaching little ones right from wrong, respect, confidence, determination, and child development through fun exercise.

Junior's Karate: Ages 7-11. (12+ may train with adults) This class is the basic introduction to our traditional karate program. This class focuses on self-discipline, respect, determination, self-confidence, personal growth and increased concentration. Our junior's class introduces self defense into their training, however due to age, self defense is not a primary goal, personal growth is!

Adults Karate: Ages 16+. This class focuses on self-defense, personal growth, and self discipline. Our adults learn various self defense drills, pressure test their abilities in full-contact sparring and train to defend themselves on the street in various ways using stand-up and ground-fighting (Old-School, original Karate)!

**Shorinji Ryu Seikukan Karate Grandmaster Terumasa Ogawa, does not permit anyone under the age of 16 to hold a full-adult black belt, therefore we have a full junior black belt curriculum**
